Default Help purchase 5 axis machining center

    Hello.

Good community, I read this forum for long time, but I never started a new thread.

We are looking to buy a little and old 5 axis machining center.
Because the space in the workshop, we can only buy the smaller models of some brands. We are looking for around 2000-2002 models of this machines:

    Mikron UCP600
DMG DMU 50 (V or Evo)

About DMU I can't find information about differences of the models 50v 50evo 50t... Can you help me with this point?

I don't care the control, because I worked with Heidenhain and fanuc and learn other control is not a problem for me.

If you know other 5 axis machine with similar dimensions, please tell.

What do you think about these 2 CNC? Anyone have experience with these machines?

Thank you very much in advance.

Worth remembering that a 5 axis vertical machine takes up less room than a horizontal, but a horizontal is much more flexible for workpieces because the fixture height doesn't interfere with the Z axis stroke. Example? A long tool in a vertical spindle limits Z axis stroke dramatically. Look at your application and future work before buying.
