My employer has been approached by an automotive wheel manufacturer for a possible long-term job drilling lug holes and valve stem holes; they'd like us to spec out a few potential solutions for them. Their largest wheel is appx 24" (620mm.)

The mfr has asked us to consider Chiron machines for this, simply because of their familiarity with the machine and control (they have all fanucs at the moment). We have a few other machines in mind, but I also want to give Chiron a fair shake.

Could anyone with experience with this brand share any memorable issues with them? Before putting together a recommendation, I was hoping to hear from people on the shop floor what their experiences have been. Any 'known issues' or repeat problems or support problems?

Thank you
