    Default Beisse

Hello!!! I'm from Argentina. I'm writting to get some help for a friend who has a Biesse Rover 321R (1997)
The thing is that he is writting every program directly through the machine......... yes..... he is f*****king crazy, he uses the machine funtions to do everyting, so since i'm building my own hobby cnc, and have allready learned about VCarve and DXF, told him "you're prehistoric!!!" but the thing is i have no idea how to send the G-code from VCarve or 3Dcut to the machine
It has a diskette, but he has told me that you have to format it in some way that's make it really complicated.

    Please!!! help me to help
    Thanks!!
    Mariano

    you cant.
the biesse 321 control is prehistoric.
    no way to drip feed.
you can raw write a diskette- but only max 11k (about 300 lines of code)
the only post processor i know of is the one i wrote for sheetcam.
ive replaced the controls in my biesses now!

so much to learn, so much to pass on.

learn how to retrofit a very old complex machine- like i did! - lots of work- lots of programming!

But vcarve saves in a "blessed Rover arcs" code.
Could I just save it on a floppy disk and run it on the machine?

If the control has the network card, you can network it but it would only be to a much older system (think Windows 98)
The reason most people program the manner which you stated is, for panel processing, the parametric control capabilities were
very powerful and in most instances people did not need a CAM option.

As it has FTP capability, it is accessible to any computer. I was able to get my 1997 Biesse Rover 322 talking on the network last night, and am now able to FTP from my Windows 10 laptop to the filesystem,

if your machine has ac servos- its quite easy by swapping the drives. (easiest way)
if dc like mine- id consider new motors/drives

was very complex the way i did it 9 years ago. but the machine is still running well.

so much to learn, so much to pass on.
