Hi All,
i´m retrofiting a Wotan machine center, 3 axis mill . the manufacture has gone out of bussines and i´ve got this machine used with no controller . I´ve new servo drives on it.
the tool clamp /unclamp is done by a hawe hydraulic pump + valves+ a round reservoir that i gues is a intensifier and it is working but i´ve no idea on how it works .i would like to know how it works so i can retrofit the command for it.
should the pump run continuos? or just to pressurize the system. does it clamp and unclamp by pressurized oil or spring return.
the pump is one those small compact system has one one solenoid and another one that i can not figure out if it is a solenoid or pressure switch.
I guess some maho cnc machine use a similar sistem
Yes, i´m doing it :-)
i´ve figured it out already. its a spring return.
the pump only runs to pressurize the system, there is a accumulator ( nitrogen) . there is a preassure switch on the pump that turn the pump on when preassure drops. a relay tuns the pump on /off and another relay to turn on a solenoid to release the tools.
I´m using Hiwin servo drives on heindhain servos and renco encoders + toshiba vfd + deskcnc controller.
kind of frankenstain cnc :-)
