hey all,

Im puling my hair out trying to understand why my 5axis heidenhain isnt compensating for the run out of the part when tilted full 90deg in A.

basicly the part i am trying to make has an over engineered slot that goes around the outside of the dia, trying to use the 4th axis rotation move in soild cam to rotated the part and finish the job,
Program looks good but the control is not compensating for the part not being true to the C axis, so its cutting deeper one side than the other.

and the moment i am using m128 to maintain the tool tip but should i be using m114? or is this option not available when the machine is fully tilted in the A?

its really starting to bug me now, i know the machine can do 5 axis sim tool paths have done some but never at the full 90 degs in the a

thank you in advance

Jamie
