    Hello

    I have the following problem:

If I open two files in Cimco and I want to change something in one of the files, then it doesn’t let me. But why?

I would like to keep both files open.

And I also don’t want that it changes everything from the right side to the left side or vice versa- I only want to change certain things that I CHOOSE to change.

    Thank you in advance

    Hi
    That is no problem.

Could it be that you want to compare 2 files and then change one of them?

    Regards
    Karsten

Yes, exactly. I compare two and then change one.

    And what exactly doesn’t work?

When comparing files you can either adjust things row by row or everything at once.
If you don’t want to have it like that, then you can also adjust things manually
    .
    Regards
    Karsten

    No, that doesn’t work.

Either in the left or in the right column, I cannot change a coordinate, rotation speed or something else.
Only a “piep” noise comes up.
When I press delete or want to insert something then that noise is there and everything stays unchanged.

    What am I doing wrong?

I have just found it in the manual. Really unfortunate:
The editing of a file during the file comparison is not possible on purpose!

Do your settings fit under file comparison?
It’s possible to switch from one window to another with the tabulator.
And it’s then possible to edit each block.
Also both windows stay open that way

    Hello

Have a look if your programs are write-protected.
Because if they are you cannot change them.

    Hello

The settings are set to the original values.
And the files are not write-protected either.
The takeover from left to right and vice versa works but edit individual blocks isn’t possible.

Please describe your course of action a bit more detailed.
Step by step so that we can understand it better.
    Preferably with screenshots

    So open Cimco
At the top in the rider press “file comparison”
    Then compare file with file
    Then select the two files
    That’s it!
