    Hello
Is there a possibility to read in CAD files into a CNC controller without using a CAM/CAD?

    Regards
    Rainer

    Hello
Some controller (e.g. Hurco Ultimax/Winmax, Heidenhain TNC530) have as an option the possibility to read in DXF and create contours with them as long as they are in the 2,5D area.

Or read in the drawings and insert them manually- that should work for many 2,5D contours.
In the 3D area, I don’t know anything of that kind.

    Regards Gerd

    Hello

Does anybody of you read in DXF into the controller?
Can you also read in Inventor files?
    What experiences have you made?
Does anybody know how much that option costs?
In my case I predominantly want to define the bore points to process steel plates.

    Regards Rainer
