Default Pitch size on gear rack and performance on a plasma cnc table

hi Im new to the site and new to the cnc home build process. i am slowly going through and purchasing parts but i am a little lost when it comes to the concept of gear rack modules i have been looking at a 1.5 module but this only give you a 4.7 pitch and i am seeing a lot of information around about gear rack being 16-20 pitch
i am wondering what impact spur gear rack pitch size has on the performance of the table and what other factors i should be considering when looking at the spur gear rack. thanks for your time

Mod 1.5 is roughly 17 pitch, and should be fine.
