    Default C-Axis TPA / HOME Failure (Cincinnati Arrow 2 - Siemens servo drivers Acramatic 2100)

    Hello.

    Please some help with a Cincinnati Arrow 2 - Siemens Servo drivers - Acramatic 2100.

    The problem is when the machine is homing. The spindle rotates 6 times and it can not get the home position.
    The message is: C-Axis TPA / HOME Failure.

    The machines was working ok.

    There are a number of things that can cause this.

    First, the alignment is done based on a signal from the spindle motor encoder (or resolver depending on vintage) so there could easily be an issue with the encoder/resolver, drive/drive controller card, or cable (since the cable flexes in the cable track, they can fail over time).

    Depending on the spindle option, it may also have a prox switch mounted at the spindle to confirm orientation. If this switch fails (or the cable to it), the machine will not be able to align.

    The proximity switch is broke. I'm going to replace it. Hope this solve the problem.

    The proximity sensor was broke, because one spring washer was broke in half and one part slide out a little bit, like an ax it cut the proximity sensor.
