Question Help me identify this holder.

    Hello,

After several hours of fruitless searching on Google I admit defeat and throw out the question to the expertise here.

I got this Fanuc Model F Taper drill. It has an ATC with 7 slots. The slots uses regular BT30-holders, but here's the kink..

The BT30-holders does not fascilitate actual tool holders(ER, Morse, taper holders etc.), instead they end as a female semi-quick release system. You might consider the holders as part of the ATC assembly. Each female "receiver/mount" is locked in place with its own bearing and snap clip. When you replace a tool you simply loosen a hexnut scrub screw, pull out the male counterpart of the quick release and replace it with another. The male part end in all kinds of different holders(ER, Morse, taper holders, face mill holders etc.)

The male part in the pictures obviously incorporates an ER32 collet.

Any suggestions what this system is called? It works excellent, it just bothers me that I can't find out anything about it. I guess it's fairly old since the machine is quite old, and it might be a proprietary system only used here in Sweden, I don't know, just speculating wildly.

Any ideas, thoughts or information is appreciated.

Thank you for an excellent forum!

For those of you celebrating it: Happy easter!

    Best regards,

    Johan
