    Greetings

I just acquired my 1st CNC, its a Maxicam and has an auto tool height touch off.

I can measure the tool length, it's recorded properly. I can change tools, but when I check it's not compensating properly for the tool length.

I set the G54 Z parameter by just touching a tool tip to the top of the material and latch it.

It's like it's ignoring the different tool lengths

    here's the code, I've latch G54 Z using tool1

    M06T2
    G90 G54
    G0 X0 y0
    G0 z0

I would expect the T2 tool tip to be at the spoil board. but it higher up because it's physically shorter.

Is there a step I'm missing using the auto tool height touch off?

    Thanks
    Mike

Hi not sure if you have had a reply?
I have one of these machines with the EZ4 controller, I have seen this error and it was the sensor on the ram that had moved or got knocked by my operator.
Check the position of the sensor that is for the dust shroud position, it is on the side of the spindle motor near the top of the air ram, in my case this had moved..

    Hey,
You'd better check the how PLC says in TF card, bes it is wrote by different engineer from Syntec. So contact the manufacture and confirm everything then do it.

@ all: thank you guys for your posts. It helped us a a lot with our machine (MAXI-C 1325 SE-T-V )

    Hallo Mike,

in the first run I had also the problem with not taking the right tool hight after changing tools.

I have an example of the beginning of my g-code

    %
    O2000
    (T1 D=3. CR=0. - ZMIN=-5. - SCHAFTFRSER)
    (T2 D=0.9 CR=0. KONIK=118GRAD - ZMIN=-9. - BOHRER)
    N10 G90 G94 G17 G49 G40 G80
    N15 G21
    N20 G28 G91 Z0.
    N25 G90

    (HORIZONTAL3D-PLANEN1)
    N30 T1 M06
    N35 T2
    N40 S20261 M03
    N45 G54
    N50 M08
    N60 G00 X20.262 Y19.167
    N65 G43 Z15. H01
    N70 G00 Z0.35

    ........

    (BOHREN2)
    N537110 M09
    N537115 M01
    N537120 T2 M06
    N537125 T1
    N537130 S1000 M03
    N537140 G00 X38.521 Y225.262
    N537145 G43 Z15. H02
    N537155 G00 Z5.

    The most important lines for taking the new z values are the g43 lines -> for Tool1 = G43 H1, for Tool 2 = G43 H2, .....

This Gcode was created with HSM Works which costed me a lot of try and error until the post processor worked on my machine.
On this weekend I figured out how the automatic tool measurement worked and was happy for a short time... until i wanted to grab tool 2. I don`t know anymore what it exactly said, but I think it was z limit exceded.
I deleted all tool offsets, turned off the machine and started it again but the toolchanges didn`t work anymore.

Has anyone had such a problem before?

I also tried the network connection between the syntec and my pc but never got it to work. I have tried different tutorials from this board but nothing worked for me.
How do you copy your nc files from your pc to the machine? Now I do it with the floppy disk(we have no usb) and it`s certainly not the best solution because it takes too much time especially if you want to insert a lot of programs at the same time....

    Thanks for your answers

    Best regards

    Michael

    Michael,
I can help you setup your syntec with a network connection. Send me a pm. I use our machine exclusively from our servers.

A few days passed and I figured out what lead to the errors in the tool change.
After testing the automatic tool tip measurement, the parameters 2801 and 2802 changed. This happened after each tool tip measurement and the tool change didn`work anymore. Setting the old values and everything works fine.

But my network access still doesn´t work.

I get an error: 3652 This command is only available on enhanced workstations.
In addition it says bad command or filename -" \\MICHAEL\SUPERMILL"

I have tried different paths and names but i galways get the same result
    I have no ideas anymore

    Best regards

    Michael

Michael, try one thing first, can you try to mount \\MICHAEL\ SUPRRMILL as a remote disk on any other computer connected to your network?

My friend, welcome to the club! Besides other problems with this kind of machine I also have the same problem as yours. The machine need to be calibrated but because of the lack of documentation I don't know how to do this properly.

I'm asking also myself for help about this problem. If somebody have a solution, please post a reply. Thankyou!

Hi hadi2217, I can tell you the parameters that you can use to set this in my syntec control, just that it's not ez3. If you'd like that, I'll look into it on Monday.

Please can you share the knowledge with us? I have the same problem as yours... I have 1mm of the axis for every 1 meter of machine travel in x and y directions.

    Hi All,
I have just bought a second hand Chinese router with a syntec ez3 controll.
Everything is working well tool change etc and i even managed to connect it to the network.
The problem i am having is the z homing.
It homes to 1 of 2 different places each time the machine is switched on.
1 homing sequence is z goes up, sensor light comes on, z goes down, light off, z goes back up, light comes on and stays on, system is homed.
2nd sequence is z goes up, sensor light comes on, z goes down, light off, z only goes up only a few millimeters, light doesnt come on, system is homed.
As you can see this means the machine z0 changes depending on where it homes to, this causes a big problem when going for a tool change.
    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks

    John

Our problem is regarding C-axis(Y2) because it does not HOME precisely in zero position not like the (Y1) in HOME Correctly,

But somehow the machine can still run the smoothly, On the other we cannot HOME the machine in every End of the operation it should be

on the far side of the HOME POSITION.

Lately it disturb me during Engraving Machining if i repeat the operation because of low DEPTH it make a step cutting.

    dear sir !
i am using a chinese CNC with syntec 6mD controller.the machine was working properly and today when i wanted to run a G code ,it came up with this error :

however i tried to execute the other G code which i ran on the machine the day before, but still the alarm was showing up.
i was wondering if it was the same as ur problem.i would like to know if u have solved it and what was the method to overcome this problem.
my machine is 1325 with 7.5 kw HSD spindle.none ATC .
