SainSmart 3018 set up trouble. Steppers not working.

Just set up the SainSmart 3018 and I cant get the steppers working.

Yes I replaced the plugins folder in the Mach3 directory with the plugins folder provided by SainSmart via CDrom and I moved the mach3mill.xml into the directory.

Not sure what went wrong. Mach3 shows the machine is connected, and when I run the test Gcode the spindle runs, manually turning the spindle on and changing its speed works just fine.

I bet you have the 3018-MX3 milling tool from SainSmart. I have the same machine and are having the same problems.
The motors run in the correct direction, the limit switches work, can manually move the 3 axis motors and the spindle runs.
When I load a G Code file and click on Start, in the display windows on the Mach3 interface it shows the milling is running at normal speed. But the motors are micro stepping, I can hear them clicking. The spindle is turning at the correct speed.

Looks like I'm the first person to reply to your post. Were you able to resolve this problem?

Unfortunately I have not, but you are correct this is the mx3.
