Hello
I want to connect the CNC router to a voltage regulator. How many KVAs to choose?
CNC router 1300x2500
4 motors
spindle 380V, 3.2kw, 7A, 400Hz, 24000 rpm
thanks
I think you may mean 'Step Down Transformer'? Is your supply voltage too high?
If I have got it wrong, can you please elaborate. I'm guessing English is not your first language.
hello Sterob and thank you for your reply.
1 - its true , English is not my first language.
2 - i want to protect my cnc router machine with automatic voltage regulator.
one like this for example.
and i need to know , how many KVA to choose?
thank you.
Ok...You must have wild voltage fluctuations in your area?
Your Spindle is rated at 3.2kW and that would be most of the load.
I would think that you would be ok using a 3.5 kVA AVR or if you wanted to be extra safe, maybe 4.0 kVA. depending on what sizes are available.
The worse your Power factor is, the higher the kVA rating has to be.
Cost will probably a consideration as well.
