So, where are your pictures?
Hi, I recently purchased a generic 3018 pro cnc machine (with a v3.3 Woodpecker pcb) from Ebay that came with a 5500mw / 450nm laser module.
The instructions were fine insofar as assembly and fitting the motor but details are scant with regards fitting a laser module. I notice that the lower powered lasers only have a single module that simply fits in the holder and then wired to the motherboard.
The one I have received is in two parts as per attached image. I'm wondering what I do or where I am meant to attach the secondary PCB/Fan...do I just drill into the framework and attach it via the two holes present? I can't seem to find any images on Google of such a two part laser in situ on one of these machines!
I have asked the vendors but I haven't had a reply as they are middle-men to where it came from.
Thanks for any help!
Dan

Ineresting, attached, previewed and it still didn't show. I'll try again!
As far as I can see on your photo, on the red connector there are Pins for Power (+12V), Laser Power Control (PWM), and I recon, Common (GND).
You should provide power to the module through +12V/GND and PWM signal from your BOB through PWM/GND.
How you are going to attach, mechanically laser driver, it's up to you.

Thanks Zasto, that is useful. I guess I'll just drill/screw the pcb/fan onto the framework somewhere that doesn't get in the way!
