How to remove Stepper motor Hand Wheel

Just wondering if anyone knows the secret to getting these off. I need to get them off to fit new stepper motor covers and connectors.
I can't see any fixing for these. They look like they are just pressed on. I tried to gently lever one off with 2 pry bars, but it is not budging....

Are they sacraficial?.....lol

Stand down....
The pry bars worked. I just had to use a little more force than I used before.
