Chinese CNC Retrofit G540

I got a Chinese CNC that I retrofitted with a G540. However, I cannot get the stepper motors to operate smoothly. I would appreciate any help offered. My guess is that it's a Mach3 software issue because I tried a 4th axis stepper motor from another machine and it does the exact same thing as these three stepper motors. The first thought that comes to mind is that a 24 volt power supply seems very small. What power supply did it come with originally?

That’s the size of the original power supply. It’s jumpy with only moving one stepper motor at a time.

could this possibly be a reversed polarity issue on the stepper motors?

Got a Multimeter? Measure the DC volts of the power supply when you try to move the stepper. it *might* give you a clue.
