I put together my router in 2012. It has been good to me, but I now depend on it a lot. If it goes down I'm dead in the water. It would also be nice to double my output.
It is a ViperXZ 30x24 from XZero using a Hitachi M12VC 2-1/4 Peak HP Variable Speed Fixed Base Router, Geko 540, Mach3
It has 25MM Thomson rails, 1610 balls crews on Y, and 2010 ball screws on X.

I mostly cut out shapes in 1" thick Maple.

The 6040s seem to have the workspace I need, but I'm so confused with the options and don't know if its heavy duty enough.

First Spindles: To be equivalent to what I have in my Hitachi, I am probably looking at a 1.5K spindle as the 800Watt would be too weak?

Second Styles: I see these tan machines and these bare aluminum machines. The aluminum seems to mostly come in 800Watt spindle configurations, and the tan seems to be 1.5K

Anything I should try to look for or look out for?
