Whats your favourite low height machine vice?

I need to hold a small job on my router table and would like to know what your favourite machine vice is?

I only have 100mm of Z travel so a low height model would be best.
I've googled but nothing has really surfaced yet.

Something like these?

No responses so I have rolled the dice on one of these from Aliexpress. Option seem thin on the ground.....






Omniocnc have something similar but without the Vee's for holding round material. I thought they may come in useful.
It looks like the holes will line up with my table slots so securing it should be a cinch.

Its not arrived yet....shouldn't be too long. Have had a few emails from Aliexpress about its progress.

Let us know how it works for you. Depending on what you are holding, vacuum plates are good but may be too high (tall) or expensive. Another simple idea is wedges jamed against dowels, these can be good for flat/thin and odd shaped parts. There are many examples from simple to over-engineered on YouTube.
