Hey!
First of I'm very new to all of this and have just put together a 6040 using the included (very limited) instructions on a windows 7 machine. And as I'm trying to demonstrate in the video below the x, y, and z move just fine, but the spindle will not start when trying to through g code. I can how ever switch the cnc control box over to manual and get the spindle to run.
Any tips would be very welcome!

I meant the https://www.cnczone.com/forums/chine...698-cnc-4.html, that has a lot of help for your VFD
since you seem to have your VFD running manual, what you need is on your VFD Set D031 to 1 so mach3 can control the spindle that switch does not automatically switch you to manual or remote PC, it just tell your VFD your running manual or the PC, if you want to go back to manual control you will have to manually set D031 back to 0
Ah I see. I did just now actually get it to work. I'm not sure if this is the proper way to do it or if this is bad in some way.
Would love a comment on why this is not as in the manual when everything else is.
Also. any ideas on how I get the actual RPM in Mach3?
Well done...your making progress!
You can get it close but your RPM will never be exact. in mach3 I will post my setting when I get home from work ok.
OK I made a PDF with Google DOC's of the screen shots Hope it helps. oops I miss spelled CNCEST! Spindle setting for the speed as close as I could get it is on page 5 also same page the MPG #1 you can uncheck,I have a wireless MPG that needs that turned on to work. I have used my CNC numerous times with these settings, the motor calibrations or right on it. anyone with better settings I would be glad to try.
