Hello, has anyone experienced a problem where a water pump - for spindle cooling - will not turn back on unless you drain it of water? This pump came with my new Chinese 6012.

Yes, I had the same problem with with ( I think ) the same pump, recently.
I pulled mine apart to inspect but I couldn't find a reason for it. Mine worked for about 3 years before doing this.
If you pop the front cover off, you should see the empeller .Not sure if there are magnets in the empeller?...If so, maybe they lost some magnetism?
I just bought a new small submersible pump and moved on.....
