Spindle speed issue PRT-E750. Spontaneously speed floating.

Hi, friends,

RPM on PRT-E750

I am working since a year on a chinese CNC engraver machine 3020, but I noticed a few days ago that the spindle is suddenly accelerating, increases the speed, but after 10 seconds it returns back to the normal level, and so many times a day. Such a strange speed floating up and down..

800 Watts spindle, water cooling.

I've conducted a test, I let the machine work in the air without a workpiece, i.e. without a load on the spindle. The issue comes again and the spindle speed is going suddenly up and in appr. 10 seconds down.
And this when the spindle is under control from PC or manual from control panel - there is no difference.

Maybe can you tell me please, where comes the issue from and how I can solve the problem?

Im not familar with that controller, but may be able to offer some ideas.

First thing to do is to go over ALL of the terminations and make sure they are done properly and are tight.
It sounds like a loose termination somewhere.

I assume speed is controller via a PWM signal?

Got a Multimeter? Maybe you can monitor the speed signal and try to se if THAT is changing or not.
