Default Upgrading my 3040 with a 500W spindle (replacing the 300W one)

    Hello,
i have bought a 3040 cnc machine from a seller on ebay. This machine has a 300w spindle and is working fine. I have also a 500W spindle that is probably laying around since 1 year in my home. An 500W powersupply and a soldered VFD came with it.
Now, i would like to use this 500 W spindle with this machine, but would like to keep the PWM feature that the 300W spindle has. In other words mach 3 can turn the spindle on/off and i can adjust directly the rpm in the software.
My break out board in the controller box is the NT65-3X. Does anybody know how i have to connect this all? I dont know anything about electronics and this is why i ask here for help

I have made pictures of the controller box and the spindle etc.

as the new speed control has connections for 10V analogue control and a potentiometer

I expect you can add a PWM to analogue converter to convert the PWM signal from the stepper board

I found this circuit of the stepper driver board and PSU & spindle control online

I have highlighted the PWM path on the stepper driver board needed to be connected to the PWM to analogue converter

PWM connector J5 that is normally connected to P4 on the PSU & spindle control board

J5 is what needs to be connected to a PWM to analogue converter

I can't help with the upgrade request, but would REALLY like to know how you got yours responding to the PWM control.

I have the exact same controller setup as the OP, but I can't get mine to work.
