Does anyone know if there is a way to save the Mach3 setup to a file that can be shared to other users with the same machines?

Parallel port should be set to EPP in bios for a 6040 or 6040Z.
Driver is only available for 32 bit OS on parallel port units.
Ask if you need help...
Standard DB25 to USB cables are serial, not parallel configuration.

The other option is an ethernet to parallel port cable/converter.

Not all connection cables are the same. You may need shielded cables in a noisy environment.
How do you set the Mach3 software for parallel port cable/converter?
Super easy way to make your g-code

A forum that covers most all of the setup and configuration for your router and Mach3. (this is the second link). Also the first link is to our Mach3 manual from our web site as well.
Dont hesitate to contact me if you still have more questions

The Mach3 driver takes over full control of the parallel port from Windows, the port is then subject to individual pin state read/write and no longer presents data, request to send and clear to send signals.
USB converter cables (unless specifically manufactured for CNC control) are built to transfer conventional data and although they will run a printer perfectly well don't deal with the pin data in the way required for CNC control

I quite like targeted ads if they're not intensely annoying so I'll enable ads when your advertisers stop using annoying sounds, annoying slideshows and annoying animations
You should be able to get a rough total by adding up the watts or amps of all motors on the machine. 1500W (actually 1800W) = 15 amps and 700W = 1HP. Add 20% for surges or get a slow blow fuse. Dave
Go to inventables and get a UC100 cable.

There may also be an Ethernet/parallel adapter.

There are others, but they are expensive. Dave
Hello Dean,
I am a new 6040z owner and would love any information that you can share.
I am currently having some issues getting the Mach3 to turn on / operate the spindle. X, Y and Z seem to work fine. I reviewed the above video and feel I missed something. I can turn the controller on and off, but once turned off, is there something else that needs to be turned on to get Mach3 control?
Many thanks for the above videos and other contributions that you have provided here for everyone. They are greatly appreciated.
Mine are GMA 10A Fast-Blow Fuse 10 Amp 250v GMA10A, GMA10
Hope that helps
Hello. At the end of this video you are showing where to put the wires for direction, 0-10V, and ground. do you have a picture of where the wires are going on your board? Mine is a JP-3136B. My black box is the same as yours (maybe not BOB though) A screen shot of ports and pins would be awesome but I might be able to figure it out from there.
Regards,
Gilles
