Cimitoka
ok I ordered IDC d-type connectors ...
Cimitoka
hi Cimitoka
I've just found this -
http://www.matrixmultimedia.com/reso...EB035-30-1.pdf
it has LED indicators you may not need but is the closest ready made board so far
except we need the outputs to pull down the printerport input pins to ground
update
this is more like it
http://reprap.org/wiki/Opto_Isolator_1_0#Schematic
opto-isolator IC
http://www.fairchildsemi.com/ds/HC/HCPL2631.pdf
this is another ready made board worth looking at
http://www.futurlec.com/Mini_Opto_Isolator.shtml
I'll post various DIY versions as soon as I can

Hello John I did nothing because I'm still waiting for d-type!!!
but I do not think I will do the same because it seems a bit 'complicated maybe it's better if I buy a new breakout board!!!
What do you suggest since you've seen my control box?
Cimitoka
Hi Cimitoka
for breakout boards without optoisolators I'd use CNC4PC's C10 or C50
they have the advantage of having the IC's in sockets that makes them easy to replace
(a cheep board from china I looked at had a few design errors )
the CNC4PC breakout boards , like most other breakout boards they don't have
a 5V regulator to enable you to use the 24V stepper driver supply
this ready made board could be an option
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/LM2596HVS-.../www.sky.com/#
the downside of changing the breakout board is they will not have the onboard connectors that match the ones on your cables

Hi John
I think (Limit switch) they are very important for someone who does not know how to use it cnc Machine I have ruined NUT
Cimitoka
Hi Cimitoka
thats a setback you could of done without !
I would not of expected the steppermotors to have enough torque to break the nut
what happend , did you lose the ballbearings
John
Hi John
I do not know what happened....
I just know that it is broken into two... Y axis is crashed on the other side (
Cimitoka
Hi Cimitoka
its smaller and simpler than I expected
I was thinking of a larger size ball screw
what looks like an acme threaded nut should not be too expensive
have you contacted the company you bought the machine from ?
john
Hi John
No it is not expensive. Already bought ....
I have not contacted them because it is a company that sells on ebay..
Cimitoka
Hi Cimitoka
thats good news that spare parts are available for the cnc 4030 machines
John
what kind of Machine do you have?
Cimitoka
Hi Cimitoka
just at the moment I don't have a CNC machine of my own
but I've have helped others to repair their machines !
the last one was this I think -
Bridgeport Interact II failure
bridgeport 24V regulator repair
(due to a problem with my profile I can't find adev's post here when he had a problem with a servo )
I started building the stepper drivers and breakout board and collecting parts to convert a mini lathe
but then changed my mind and decided to use the parts for a miller / router to practice on
the stepper drivers proved to be too simple ( full step only !)
and will be replaced not sure what with yet
as for the day job
the nearest to CNC I get is with the likes of the sony BVC 10 betacart that can playout tv commercial from 40 tapes
it was made as an inexpensive replacement for the 1970's Ampex ACR25 that could playout from 24 cassettes (used 2 inch tape !)
