High speed spindle problem in HAAS VF2

Hi guys,

I have a 2005 HAAS VF2 3 axis machine here. We bought this machine through an auction around 6 months ago. The machine runs good. Machine is rated to run at 10000rpm. The only problem is, when we put the spindle to more than 5000rpm, the machine shuts the spindle and gives the following messages.

1) 102 SERVOS OFF

2) 237 SPINDLE FOLLOWING ERROR( The error between the commanded spindle speed and the actual speed has exceeded the maximum allowable as set in Parameter 184)

Does anybody knows about this problem?

You might have better luck in a Haas forum - this one caters to mostly hobby machines made by Charter Oak.
