Hello all we seem to have an issue with the old style grey box centroid m400 controller on our machine and thought I would ask the collective if anyone knows or has encountered the same issue.
So basically with have a problem with the keyboard on the control where when the machine is turned on in the morning and until the room is warmed up none of the qwerty keyboard buttons will will. The manual button panel works fine but until we apply a certain amount of head the keyboard is unresponsive. And if we remove the heat the keyboard will cease to work again very shortly afterwards. Has anyone dealt with this? Or know of a cause on this? The control gery box 1997 model I believe and is on a tryax B6 mill. Thanks in advance for any help given. Martin.
Re: Problems with keyboard on centroid m400 control
This is usually from a bad cable connection or bad solder joint. The 4 pin connector can easily be cleaned up by spraying with an electronic cleaner and plugging / unplugging several times. Solder problems can sometimes be found with close visual inspection. Re-melting all the solder joints may work if the previous options fail.
