Is it possible that when you rewired one or more of the switches that you wired Normally Open rather than Normally Closed or vise-versa?
Hi. I have a Tryax turret mill with the Centroid M series control.
I had damaged conduit to the X and Y limit switches, which I repaired with new glands. Now the machine will not home. The display instruction is to press cycle start, but nothing, no jog functions either. All 4 micro switches, 2 on each axis work ok, e stop etc, no alarms showing, nothing appears damaged or disturbed on the pcb the switches are wired to.
Can anyone shed any light on this please.

Thanks for your response. They are all nc in normal state and I checked their function at the pcb. So I think I may have damaged something else, although the pcb looks ok there are fibre optics to it, but I don't know how to fault find further.

Sorry I can't be of more help, but I am out of ideas.

If nothing happens when you press Cycle Start to find home, then your jog panel is malfunctioning or disconnected.
If, on the other hand, an error or fault or stall message appears in the status window when you press Cycle Start to find home, then the jog panel is working, and you should find out what the error, fault, or stall message said.
What happens when you press the F3 key to enter the MDI prompt?
Status messages might be different if you are running a CNC7 version earlier than 4.00 (i.e., from prior to mid-1994).
The wiring of limit switches varies with different PLC boards. "Centroid M Series control" could describe any of dozens of configurations built over the course of 26 years. Perhaps you could tell us your control serial number, or post a couple pictures.
My suggestion is you go to the Centroid User Support forum and post a report. F7 Utilities, F7 Create Report

Thanks for your help. Nothing happens when Cycle Start is pressed, so I will check out the jog panel. I am away from the machine for a few days, but will also check F3 and the serial number then.
Hi tqscout
I hope you dont mind the intrusion.
We have just aquired a mill with a Centroid M-400 controller.
Have you been able to find anyone who can support your set up, in the UK? We are in Aylesbury Buckinghamshire.
We need someone to assist in commissioning & training particularly on the Centroid programming side.
