do you have a deskcnc controller
Saw some site suggested using DeskCNC and i downloaded it and im having hard time figuring out this software..
My machine specs.. its hot wire foam cnc with a turntable (rotary table)
i wanted to build stuff like spiral column and stuff like that.. and when i open foam cutter and it shows only 2d no rotary table option.. do i use milling machine setup and setup no z axis?
how do i make this work? any suggestion?
Thanks in advance
Dan

no im currently using mach3 for controller but if its required to make it work i could switch it to deskcnc instead..
Are you looking for cad cam? Not exactly understanding what you're after.
yes im looking for cam.. i did talk to dolphin and they seem cant do it..
im sorry if im confusing bunch of you.. i have no experience with foam myself.. im working on this for someone else.. im very comfortable wtih cnc router/cnc plasma myself but foam is different (no z axis)
They have a mill lathe and wire package. I see no reason why they couldnt do it.
First you need an actual deskcnc hardware controller for deskcnc to work, desk is a cam that has configurable post processors built in. just choose the foam cutter setup in machine setup tab and a suitable setup for a foam machine processor. If you just want it for the cam you maybe able to generate code and export for mach some configuring needs to be done?
