What CAM software do you need the post for?
Hello everyone,
My company had recently purchase a Mazak QTN-250-II 2 Axis CNC Lathe and we don't have a post for it.
I found a person in our local area who can write a post for the machine and he is asking for $3000 Canadian. Since I don't know anyone else who is capable to do so, i can't really justify the price.
Does anyone know how much a custom post for a 2 Axis Lathe would cost?
Thank you very much for your kind response

You could switch to VisualCAD/CAM which includes lathe functionality. The program would cost less than $3000, and any posts you need would be configured for free.

If it's a post for VisualCADCAM, it will be free. But there might already be one. Mecsoft has been doing this for long enough that they've accumulated a pretty big library of postprocessors for all sorts of machines: https://mecsoft.com/downloadposts/ If you're talking about Mastercam posts, it seems the sky's the limit,..
