Default Something went wrong on Amazon.ca

I don't know what happened on the Canadian Amazon, but I've just bought a professional Mitutoyo indicator for 1/4 price.
Immediately after that the price jumped back to reality.
I'm just wondering if they gonna ship it to me or cancel the order.

Not sure about Amazon.ca, but .com would almost certainly ship it. Since it appears to be sold by Amazon.ca, I think they will ship it. If there is a problem, just phone and they should make it right. The price jumps is exactly what happens when you find a really good price and buy: it skyrockets!

I buy off of .com because the prices are usually better, and I can get them delivered to a receiver just across the border.

Shopping for discounts and deals on Amazon is a real time waster!

The strange thing is that almost $500 is the real price. On Amazon.com and everywhere else it costs around USD 360 = the same CAD 500.
If it was a discount it made my Black Friday all the way. Greedy me

Lee Valley had the Mitutoyo 543-145B for cdn$42.50 on Monday (see Mitutoyo Digimatic Indicator - Lee Valley Tools). That is an older but slightly fancier version of the 543-392 (0.0001 resolution, abs/rel modes, data port). Mine arrived yesterday. Shipping to Canada from amazon.com is often not terribly expensive and they have a much larger selection.

It may have been a scam, I brought, some things like this, and the price was really low like this, it even said it shipped, but it did not, if it does not come on time, then contact Amazon, and they will refund your moneys, scammers are everywhere

If you look at his link the item is sold and shipped by Amazon so it probably isn't a scam. Currently it is available for cdn$130.83.

Wow, that's crazy, they sell it again for a quarter of the price!
But the old one looks just fine and it's dirt cheap... well, was...

Just because it's on Amazon, does not mean it's not a scam, if the price is too low and you know it, it will not be the Genuine Mitutoyo made item, there are lots of Mitutoyo copies, ( made in China ) the digital caliper's being another, that are copies, are they as good or the same quality, no they are not

That digital indicator can be brought for that price, the main thing you have to watch for when buying things like this, is who you are buying from, if they are not a tool supplier, then it most likely is a copy

Did they ship it, and did you receive it yet?

    Sure hoping so!

That's good to hear, you got a great buy, if it is not a copy, you will never know if it is a copy, the battery connections are, my be the only way to tell if you have a copy, if you have any trouble in this area, then you will know it is a copy

Another huge discount on Amazon.ca: just bought this Mitutoyo zero setter for $157.54. Regular price $400+ everywhere else.

Seems like it's worth monitoring Amazon for Mitutoyo products.

Amazon does this sometimes. When a product isn't selling for some time it will drop the price to motivate a buyer as soon as it sells one the price will jump back.
I bought a bumper cover for my van at $17 as soon as I completed the transaction it jumped back to $140.
