Default Camsoft and windows 7 64bit

Hi everyone i sure could use some help. We had camsoft on a computer with windows xp 32 bit we upgraded the computer when we purchased version 17.4 of camsoft because of the speed of the computer. Well i cannot for the life of me get our machine back up and running with windows 7 i would really love a detailed procedure of how to install camsoft on a windows 7 64 bit computer with a adlink pci 7296 I/O card and a galil 2152 ethernet motion control card.

I'm able to run camsoft in demo mode on this 64bit W7 box. Its for development only.

From what i can tell, large parts of Camsoft are wirtten in Visual basic 6, a 32 bit programming language. It just won't run well on a 64 bit machine, no need. Also pretty sure there aren't 64 bit drivers for your IO card.

I use XP service pac 2 on my Camsoft boxes and strip everything uneeded out. the machine boots or shuts down in 10 seconds. I've not seen a need for faster than a P4 3GHz. may need a bit more if you're a mold maker. What you need is rock solid dependable, not screaming fast.
