Deep-hole drilling

The question session goes on!
Today my chief told me we were going to make deep-hole boring in the future and I’d have to calculate.
HHHEEEEEEELLLLLLPPPP!!!!

Is there simple software therefore? Is it comparable with normal drilling? I mean boreholes of 18mm and 2000mm long.
Is drilling made from one side or from two sides?

How does one get meaningful values? And what’s about price?

I’ll appreciate any information.
