Hello,
I have Bridgeport 720 Interact with Heidenhain controller 2500B. The machine was without energy 1 year long.
Now I have the following problem: the machine works, but tool changing doesn’t. When I try to change a tool, it’s made only at the controller. Are there any parameters gone or am I doing anything wrong? I’m not fit technically.

Hi!
Did you program M06 after TOOL-CALL?

Hello
Yes, I did.
The controller shows that a tool is being changed, but the machine doesn’t change it.
I have the similar problem in program flow.
Thanks

Hello again!
It’s strange. I believe the macro for tool changing is saved in the PLC. And if something there were wrong, it wouldn’t work in general.
Try the following program:
0 BEGIN PGM 1234 MM
1 TOOL CALL 1 Z S1000
2 L R F M06
3 L X+20 R0 F500 M3
4 TOOL CALL 2 Z S1500
6 L R F M06
7 L X+0 R0 F500 M3
8 L R F M30
9 END PGM 1234 MM
if you don’t use central tool storage, then use only TOOL-DEF clauses.

Hello,
I have some more questions:
1) how can I change tools manually?
I don’t understand it.
2) I want to save machine parameter, programs.
I have a cable for connection of machine to PC.
What software do I need therefore?
Thanks in advance!
