Help deciding with Bridgeport VMC purchase.
Hello, I'm looking at purchasing one of the following Bridgeport's.
I'm looking to put one in my home shop mostly aluminum parts.
If you had your choice, what would you go for first? Should I absolutely stay away from any or all of them?
1997 VMC 800/22 DX-32
1997 TORQ-CUT 22 DX-32
1997 TORQ-CUT 30 DX-32
1997 TORQ-CUT TCG3 BPCMC
1994 VMC 760/22 dx-32

Check if the machine fits through your door. Check the voltage. Some are 480 volts. 480 volts will not work for me. I am looking at getting a torq cut 22. It is the smallest. I have limited space and short garage door. I know nothing about these. If you have the space, may be the bigger one would be better. Because of their age, the electronics could go bad. Be prepared to tinker with it or upgrade the electronics.Originally Posted by Tore_Back

They share some of the same parts. I am figuring on some repairs or upgrading. Machines this old are bound to have a few issues.

Yes, I did not buy anything. I bid low, I was concerned about unknown rigging and transportation costs. Congrats on your purchases.
