    Default Bits

    Good day,

I recently build a cnc machine, i was wondering if there is anyone that will be able to give me some advice as to what type of bit to use when cutting a 3mm Aluminium Composite Panel, currently i am using a 4 flute flat end "see photos" bit, it leaves a decent cut edge however it tends to get blocked quite fast by the access material, the sizes i am using is from a 3mm to 6mm bit, i have also tried using a 6mm 2 flute flat end bit but this gives a very poor cutting edge.

I was possibly looking at using a 1 flute end mill cutter bit, for the Aluminium Composite Panel would you recommend a flat or ball nose bit?

    Any advice will be appreciated.

    Thanks
