I recently replaced the z axis servo on my Ez Trak. Since the brushes looked good, how would I go about cleaning or replace/repair the encoder so I would have a spare?
I replaced the SEM X axis encoder over ten years so it should be relatively the same but memory is fuzzy. I think what I did was get the name and model off the encoder and looked it up on the net. There was a company in the midwest I think that had the encoder so I bought it. I just remember I had to solder several small wires carefully and everything has worked fine since.
