Bridgeport Interact II Gib

I removed my mill table to have the ballscrew reworked. Got everything back together and need to know how to install the gib.
One side has short slots and holes. The other side has holes and long z-shaped slots along the length.
Does the long z-shaped slots go towards the column of the machine, or towards the center of the table?
