Bridgeport VMC 760 - 22

Hey all!

I've got a VMC 760 heading my way and is in the need for some info on how to get it off the truck and moving it around.
If anyone has a copy of the machine manual with the pre-/installation guide would be great and much appreciated, i've tried googling and searching this forum for all weekend without any finds...

All the pictures i can find on the machine the chip / coolant tray is in the way of the machine base so i don't really know to move this thing in to its position. Biggest problem being the garage door it needs to come through, it's big enough to get the machine in if the short sides go in first but i guess i need a really big forklift for this that might not go though the door. Also there is a small track/ridge the door runs on, so my idea of putting the machine on steel plates with rollers on wont be possibly through the door.


Would it be possible to get some pictures of the machine base from anyone operating this machine?

Any guidance would be highly appreciated!!

You lift it from the right side of the machine. There are fork pockets in the base and you will need 80 inch long forks. Hope this helps.

I guess the base of the machine is the same between the American vs European/English made one?

The manual i got specify X & Y at 6,5 Nm and Z at 14 Nm

Hi all, quick update.

Once again thanks for all the help.

Machine arrived yesterday and even though we specifically asked for the machine to be placed in the truck so we could unload the machine from the rear of the truck using the forklift pockets in the base of the machine, it didn't. Honestly i don't even know how they loaded it cause in now way we could just "fork in -n- lift" which made the unloading bit difficult and took some time. But she is finally in!
