I am looking to add on a laser to my cnc router . I see that many people use the spindle feed to turn on / off laser , but how do I turn it off during rapid moves between tool paths , so it does not mark the piece ??
Well, I don`t know much about laser cutters so I just had a look at the BC Laser PP and it looks like the On/Off and Z retract for rapid moves seems to be done automatically with the following areas in the PP,

it may be of some help to you but if you haven`t already got one you will need to download a Laser PP from BC to suit your machine control, I have Zipped up the one I have here for you to test, it is for all versions V26 through V31 so should work!!
