    Default Extrusion

Hi Guys my problem is that I want to extrude one shape into another and have them look as one. Example, extruding from a square into a circle over a length of 50mm.
How would I go about doing that?

    Default Re: Extrusion

To my knowledge Bobcad doesn't have that function, unless the newer versions have it. (I'm using V30)

    Here's how I do it:

    1. Draw the two shapes.
    2. Draw linking lines between the shape as needed.
    3. Break the shapes at the links as needed.
      1. in some cases you may need to use the Cleanup/Reorganize function to remove any breaks that are not needed that might spoil the surfaces you are going to create.

    4. Use the skin function to make the side panels.
    5. Use planar function to create the top and bottom.
    6. Stitch the surfaces together to make a single solid.
    7. Use the Reverse Surface Normal function to correct surface orientation if needed.

    I'm attempting to attach pictures.

    Hope this helps.

"Extrude" is not the right terminology in BobCad...

Look at "cross section" to loft to shapes...

Build your circle and square 50mm apart and cross section
