Default Gap between tool and holder in backplot and sim

So I made a custom tool and modified a tool holder. When I change the protrusion length, all it does is change the gap between the tool and holder. This won't work for collision checking. I am using V31 Bobcad.

    Thanks for any help!

Can you show a screenshot of the geometry you used to make your custom tool?

This videos shows the steps I've used in the past.

If you are running V33, why not create a tool on the machining cloud and just import it?

In that case I would recommend updating your tool profile, making sure to extend your tool geometry for the proper protrusion length. I would need to talk with the support team for the proper workflow.

Thanks for the Quick Tip. Pretty sure my tool geo is correct. Here is a screen shot of what I get. The holder always says the same distance away from the tool. If I shorten the protrusion, the back end of the tool gets shorter and the holder won't move down with it. I have a demo version of 33 but ran out of time to try the machiningcloud. Is anyone using it succesfully?
