Need to make V17 and V21 run forever
I was able to install and use V17 successfully on Win7 x86 but not Win7 X64. V21 installed on Win7 x86 but crashes on startup. But something baffles me, V21 does not run on Win7 x86. You would think the new version, V21 would run and not the older V17.
Has anyone been able to get V17 or V21 too run on Win7 X64?
I also did a quick test on Win10. The V21 runs flawlessly but V17 won't even install... ???

V17 is stuck on Win7 32bit, no higher. Just have to let it go. Whereas V21 can work all the way to Win10Originally Posted by BNR_RANDY

Still trying to figure it out, so far today I've crashed it twice. I can draw, I just cannot get to finish a CAM job and post code.
I like the 3D stuff, I can make a 3D solid from my old 2D stuff and can draw in 2D. Ver 21 just did not work well at all for 3D

...maybe try Compat/Admin modes with W7 for XP or Vista...right click for properties on program icon

I successfully made a solid model, made tool paths, edited the post processor and posted code that ran on my mill.
Huge change from V21, gonna take some getting used to.

Virtualisation is probably the way to go, if I'm ever presented with a similar issue with V25 I'll be going that route.
