1/16 ball end mill w/ 1/8 shaft Tool

How can I enter this in my Tool Library?
I have tried to modify holders and arbors to accomplish this with no luck.
my problem is I have a small deep cavity that has detail in the bottom of the cavity and with out the 1/8 shaft info in the cutting operation my tool rubs on the side of the cavity and burns the belt off.
I can set a boundary for 1/8' so it does not rub but I would like to have the info in the tool so it will at least cut to the depth without rubbing.

Have you tried creating a Form Tool the size and shape you need ?? You just draw half of the shape and then you can create a new tool in your Tool Library and "Assign Geometry" and the tool will be created to your drawn shape, see images below


The above is just a rough example to give you an idea of the steps required, hope it helps you some

thanks, that helps a lot.
but my tool doesn't show a ball nose and yours does. it also does not simulate the ball nose. what am I doing wrong?

I chekced my geometry and did have a line not connecting now I think it is working.

I don`t see the Form tool in your Tool Selection image ??
What version of BobCAD are you using ??

I have ver 29
my "add" tool looks like yours in the above post, not sure what you mean by "Form tool"
I openned a new file and drew my tool and added to the tools but when I would open my machining file and try to add the tool to an operation it didn't work as expected.
I may have been in a hurry
I will work with it some more.
