Biesse Rover 23: Stop/Start/Reset keys are not working anymore
Stupid problem here!
The Stop Start Reset keys have stopped working on our Rover 23 (xnc cni)
They got always more difficult to use and now they do not respond at all.
Is there a way to use the CNC Router without these keys? Can we do a software emulation or is there a shortcut on a standard ps/2 keyboard?
Any help would be appreciated, currently the machine is unusable because of 3 broken keys.

I remember there was possibility to use keys F5 to F11, F5=stop, F6=reset, F11=start
But it was necessary to enable it somewhere

I checked in every possible menu on the machine and could not find any option to enable it 
I tried the keys F5 to F11 but nothing happens.
The controller is a CNI XNC.
Is there any other possibility?

Same issue here, checked the keypad and it looks ok for me, no shorts or pressed keys, i suspect that it is related to the board or the controller,
if you manage to find an alternative, please let us know.

There could be fast solution (but you need to reach the internal surface between the board and the bottom of rubber buttons), just to scribble down the contact surface by graphite pencil, where the rubber button touches it. It will improve the conductivity and the button starts to work again.
To enable the F-keys you have to modify the text file /home/xnc/bin/lancia in Xterminal by xmeditor, it isn't quite easy in that (some kind of linux) system and it could make problems to start the software, if you make mistake.
It was necessary to write extra parameter -SiTasti on line with parameter -TempoVis 200.
For example it could be like: via quote "-TempoVis 200 -SiTasti $normswitch",
where the original line was: via quote "-TempoVis 200 $normswitch"
There were different versions, so the line could be sligtly different with various parameters.
