Hi:
I have a Murata Wiedemann 2044, 30 stn. turret contolled by a fanuc 18i,contoller. I'm using 114 style tooling.
Yesterday I was punching some 26 ga galv. and the sheet hit a sensor. It threw the Auto index tool out of alignment and the punch destroyed the bottom die and pulled it out of the tool base when retracting. The machine jammed before hitting TDC and I got axis error messages and sensor error messages. I shut the machine down and restarted hoping that jogging the machine and zero setting the machine might free it up. Nope!
It seems like the ram is stuck just before the TDC point and I am apprehensive about loosening any bolts or parts on the concentric arm in case I can't re attach the parts.
I can get vague answers on what I should do from Murata or get a millwright in to pull apart the machine for a fee.
Has anyone had this problem?
