Was playing with it today not connected to ess
If I:
-supply 11 volts to the VCC
- added a 4.7k resistor between Sig and GRD I have 5V between Sig and Grd
So in theory, this needs a VCC of 12V ???
As the Ess is supposed to have a 4.7K onboard?
Hi All, another stumbling issue, I dumped the touch plate Idea and went with a 3d probe thinking I would simplify things ?
Issue I'm having is not enough voltage at the C25 input pin to make Mach4 happy ....
here is the schematic for the probe:
Resistance between Vcc and Signal measures 5K
Vcc connected to 5V
Sig connected to P2-10
Grd to Grd
Sig (not connected to C25 has 4.9V
Sig Connected has 2.07V
Light on C25 is dim
Has anyone come across this and find a solution? Or a suggestion to try ?
Again TY in advance for any input
Randy

Hi,
I have replied to this post on the ESS forum.
Craig
Looks like there asking for 10k of resistance on the Sig circuit? which I would get if i wired in a 4.7k in series.??
Posting the solution so it is available to others if they come across this issue.
Added a 3K resistor between 5V Vcc and Signal wire.
All working as required.
Tkx to all for the help.
