Is it OK using double ball nut on BF20L Y axis?

I have my BF20L already converted to CNC but without disassemble I can't be sure if a 1605 double ball nut on the Y axis will fit or not. To be more precise will the nut hit to the base when traveling to both directions?

I've got a PM25 clone if that's similar sizing.
Fitted double nut to that fairly well.
Had to remove nut to reverse it so the bolt end went to the back of the Y with motor end at the front.
If you can, fit Angular Contact bearings too.

It's not about ability. It's about saving time and effort. But here's your answer:

To disassemble the table I first need to disassemble the enclosure. To disassemble the enclosure all the individual oil lines must be removed because these lines and the Z axis cables comes trough holes on the enclosure. Once these are removed I need to lift the whole machine and put somewhere because it is impossible to remove the Y axis because the chips tray has a high profile front and rear walls so I can't simply slide the axis and remove.

You see figuring if I can use a double ball nut on the Y axis is quite a work and will take some time. Instead all this trouble someone with BF20L or a similar machine can easily answer just by writing "Yes" or "No" and that is all I need.


Next time if you have the answer I need please let me know. Otherwise please don't ask helpless questions.

I was not trying to be 'snarky' in my response to your question. The pictures I found of a BF20L show no enclosure, so I had no idea following my suggestion would be so difficult for you. If the construction of a BF20L is anything like that of a G0704, then a double ball nut will fit..with minor modifications.

If you look at my build of a G0704, you'll see pictures of the 'Y' axis casting with ball nuts installed...they should be in the first 15 posts somewhere.

My machine is a PM25 clone. The manual that came with it is the Chinese WMD25V.
It's the older style one with the square base. You can look at that and compare the base sizes to yours.
I have a double nut 1605 fitted and also was able to extend my travel from 185 to 203mm with some 'tweaks'.
