    Default UC300ETH + UB1 or AXBB-E which is better?

So I have an X2 that I have had for years and I now want to finish the CNC conversation. My plan is to use hoss plans and nema 23 closed loop steppers. Down the road I might want to add coolant and other goodies so I am looking to have some expansion ability. Which solution would you say is better?

    UC300ETH + UB1 + UCCNC Software Cost would be $365

    or

AXBB-E + UCSB for expansion + software cost would be $317

I think UB1 would be overkill for this machine seeing that down the road I am thinking about getting a G0704 as a second machine, but for the price difference of $48 difference... not sure if there are other pros and cons to the 2 different options.

    Thanks
    Mike

I have a UC300eth-5lpt plus a C10. I don't remember what any of it cost (thankfully) and the AXBB-E didn't exist at the time of purchase, but the setup has been very good. It's better than my ESS was.

I use a MX3660 and a G540 to control 4 axis (one is the ATC). I use those BOB's on both of those units plus the C10's.

There's more than one way to skin a cat, as you well know. Find the items the give you the feature you want at the price point you are comfortable with.

They are basically the same, with the UC300ETH just having more inputs and outputs.
