Another option is the AXBB-E...it has the bob included plus its 24V i/o. The same motion controller than the UC300ETH

You can also use the UCSB CNCdrive - motion controls or UCBB breakout board CNCdrive - motion controls

I agree with eriks , but there is not so many i/o and its more compact than uc300eth.

What are you going to drive your steppers with?

Because something like an MX3660 or Gecko G540 will have your BOB built in.

In my machine I have both an MX3660 and Gecko G540, all runing off the UC300eth-5lpt. I also have a C10 Bi Directional BOB. Then there are all sorts of other items as well. Compact? No. But it does work.

UCCNC is my preferred setup now, but I used Mach3 (and still do occasionally) very successfully for years with the same hardware.

It depends on how many I/Os will you need?
The UC300ETH has lots of them, but you need a breakout board or boards to connect your sensors and switches and buttons etc.
The AXBB-E has less of them, but you do not need a breakout board because the AXBB-E has the breakout board inside.

You'll need a breakout board for each port that you want to use on the 5LPT board.

Or, you can use a breakout board like the UB1 which the UC300ETH plugs into.

I think all i need right now is 3 limit switches for X,Y,Z , e-stop, alarm , and maybe a hand pendent, and later on cycle start button, i think for now i could use a x-box controller for the pendent

Many pendants are USB, Xbox included.

You can wire those switches to a single input too.

If that's all you need, then the AXBB-E or UC400ETH are probably a better choice.
