Mounting 90mm OD BT30 spindle to the X2 mini mill?

Hi,

I'm thinking about mounting these BT30 spindle with 90OD mm to X2. Do you think it is too big?

Erm the Sieg X2?
Considering the spindle bearings are only 62mm OD & 30mm ID it's not going straight in there.

It won't fit. You would need to go with a new head entirely. Also note that the 90mm is the outside of the body, the flange is 126mm. I would consider selling the X2 and buying a slightly larger machine before trying to make a huge spindle fit on the X2.

I'd prob go with a PM25 size machine as a step up from the X2.
Most likely R8 spindle and TTS system for toolchanger option.

I wouldn't go MT3, needs a fair whack/pressure to get a tool out compared with the R8.

I'd like a PM30 size but it would be too heavy for me to convert.
